Feeling overwhelmed and frazzled by life, overrun and worn out? And it’s only Monday? So many of us seem to live that way. But that’s not the life God envisions for us.
Just as an engine won’t run without being fueled, neither will you.
If you want to be a true success in any endeavor you must absolutely give it your very best, just be certain you don’t give it your all.
That path only leads to failure and burn out. Jesus is our role-model, and he demonstrated taking time to be alone, to pray, even to nap.
Intentionally leave margin in your life to recharge in whatever way works for you. It may only be ten minutes of quiet reading, belly laughing to a five minute video, or an entire weekend away. What works for you may be different than what works for me. The key is staying fueled.
But whatever you do, include space to be in God’s presence, for He is the ultimate Source of peace and rest.
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.”- Psalm 62:1
